Help Support Sharon Keating
Dear Friends,
Last year, I ran with the SYF Running for Youth team not as an official member of the team, but as a supporter of those who participated in the program. While it was an amazing experience, it would have been much more satisfying to have completed the race knowing I had made a difference too! This year, I have chosen to change that by becoming an official member of the team, raising the money and running with a dedicated, fantastic group of people.
Travel is such an integral part of a child’s education. I want to be able to help kids in need to be able to experience all that travel has to offer. From my own personal experience, the only thing that I really remember from 8th grade was my trip to Washington, DC. It brought my text book to life. Learning outside of the classroom is a very powerful thing. It was a great trip and one I will never forget! My hope is for every child to have that same feeling if given the opportunity.
This year, my 6th grader will be going on his first school trip to Paris in March. While he is fortunate enough to have the resources to go, not all of his classmates can afford to go. I am running to help raise funds to help those kids who are less fortunate see the world and participate in travel programs that will enhance their education and provide a lifetime memories! Please support me by donating to this great cause!
