Help Support Jody Bell
Dear Frends,
I am so excited to be running in with the SYF Running for Youth team for my second year in a row! I had a great time last year, and I’m so happy to run again this year!
Growing up, I was very fortunate to travel outside of the country my first time when I was in high school. My junior year, my choir was selected to perform in numerous venues throughout Germany and Austria over the span of 10 days. It was a once-in-a lifetime experience I will never forget. Driving through the beautiful countryside, singing in amazing chapels, performing in the Munich City Center, tasting food I never dreamed of eating, and visiting Mozart’s birthplace were among the plentiful adventures I had. From that trip, I experienced so much from the world outside of our states, but most importantly, I learned a great deal about myself and who I wanted to become. That trip taught me so much about the history and culture of a world that I had not yet known and only perked my curiosity further.
Because of this trip, and the lessons it taught me, the SYF Running for Youth team was extremely important for me to join. I first learned of the organization while attending the SFY breakfast at the SYTA Conference in 2010. Tearfully listening the amazing stories these students shared, made me want to share the same opportunity I had with someone less fortunate who could experience the same remarkable journey that I had.
So please support me in whatever way you can. Even if it is just $5… that $5 is an inch closer to help change a student’s life.
I thank you in advance for your support. See you in Minnesota!
Jody
