Enriching the lives of students one mile at a time!

Formed in 2000, the SYTA Youth Foundation is the 501C3 Philanthropic sister organization of the Student Youth Travel Association (SYTA). The SYTA Youth Foundation provides students/youth financial resources, and programming through travel experiences that impact the lives of tomorrow's global citizens.

The purpose of the Foundation is to design and implement programs that "Give Something Back" to student and youth travelers. As a non-profit organization, the Foundation depends almost entirely upon outside contributions for our programs and services.

SYF offers four scholarship/grant programs including:

National Youth Day Out

The National Youth Day Out program provides a one-day travel experience for deserving classes around the United States and Canada. SYF, in partnership with the National Middle School Association and the Student & Youth Travel Association, plan to provide 25 classes a one-day travel experience in October 2011 in honor of the Month of the Young Adolescent.

Road Scholarship

The Program awards fund to youth who, for various reasons are unable to afford the cost of their group's educational travel.

The next application period will open November 1-30 2011.

Silver Lining Program
This program recognizes deserving young people who have demonstrated through their action, intention, or circumstance the desire to expand their awareness, creating a dramatic life change.

Ripley Hunter World is a Classroom
The Ripley Hunter World is a Classroom scholarship was created for secondary school students grades 9-12 who wish to share a special travel experience in the form of a written essay. Applications will be accepted through June 1, 2011. The winner will receive a $750 scholarship.
