The Ripley Hunter "World Is A Classroom" Travel Scholarship

Dear Educator:

Travel is an integral component of education, and the members of the Student & Youth Travel Association (SYTA) and its philanthropic, sister organization the SYTA Youth Foundation (SYF) are dedicated to providing the best in youth travel around the world.

The belief that travel positively impacts the development of our youth is so strong that a scholarship opportunity was created for secondary school (grades 9-12) students who wish to share a special travel experience in the form of a written article or speech. The author of the winning entry will receive a $750.00 US scholarship from the SYTA Youth Foundation, and an engraved plaque. The winner of the contest will be announced during the SYTA Annual Conference in Sacramento, CA on Sunday, August 29, 2010.

Application deadline for the 2010 Ripley Hunter World Is A Classroom Essay Contest is June 1, 2010.
